Pravasi Rajasthani Meet


Context: 

 In December 2024, during the ‘Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit’, the State Government of Rajasthan formally declared that ‘Pravasi Rajasthani Diwas’ (Non-Resident Rajasthani Day) would be celebrated annually on December 10. In pursuance of this declaration, a series of Pravasi Rajasthani Meets was initiated, with the inaugural event commencing in Hyderabad on September 26, 2025.

Objectives : The primary objectives of these meets are:

  • To strengthen the relationship between Rajasthan and its global diaspora.
  • To celebrate the achievements of the diaspora.
  • To showcase opportunities for investment and social contribution.
  • To foster a spirit of community and collaboration.
  • To establish a common platform for the diaspora to contribute to the State’s development and prosperity.

Note: A Single Point of Contact has been established in every district of the State for the family members of Non-Resident Rajasthanis, and an Additional District Collector has been designated as the Nodal Officer in each district for the resolution of their issues.

Pravasi Rajasthani Meet (September 26, 2025) : Hyderabad

  • The Chief Minister of Rajasthan addressed the ‘First Pravasi Rajasthani Meet’ held at Hotel Taj Krishna, Hyderabad, on September 26, 2025.
  • The Chief Minister announced that the first Pravasi Rajasthani Diwas would be held in Jaipur on December 10, 2025.
  • The poster for JITO (Jain International Trade Organisation) Connect-2025 was unveiled during the event.

Rajasthan Foundation:

  • The Rajasthan Foundation was established on March 30, 2001, under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister of Rajasthan.
  • The Foundation has established a total of 26 Chapters (Centers) to date, comprising 14 in India and 12 overseas.
  • Chapter: A Chapter is an assistance centre established by the Rajasthan Foundation for NRRs (Non-Resident Rajasthanis) residing in a local area, such as a metropolitan city and its vicinity, or any other city within India or abroad. These are governed by the Rajasthan Foundation (Chapter Establishment and Functioning) Guidelines, 2013.
